Epic Games today announced the launch of Unreal Connectors: the first micro-credentialing program dedicated to teaching established artists virtual production. The field-tested course is taught exclusively through Unreal Authorized Training Centers and Unreal Academic Partners.

With this announcement, CG Spectrum–which is both an Unreal Authorized Training Center and Unreal Academic Partner–unveils its cutting edge Unreal Connectors: Virtual Production Program, with the first intake starting June 6, 2022.

The 12-week intensive is designed for established media professionals, filmmakers, animators, archviz and VFX artists, plus studios looking to increase their real-time production services and empower their teams to help lead this new era of storytelling.

Held entirely online and available worldwide, the program includes almost 100 hours of video content alongside project-based work. With small cohort sizes (4 people max) and mentorship from CG Spectrum's real-time artists, participants will learn Unreal Engine fundamentals, model ingestion, animation, mocap integration, lookdev, and lighting setups.

Upon graduation participants will be confident in cinematic storytelling and creating high-quality short films using Unreal Engine.

We're excited to offer a condensed, immersive program for professionals looking to upskill and set themselves apart, and for studios looking to fulfil their workforce needs. – Jeremy Chinn, CG Spectrum’s Chief Operations Officer.

CG Spectrum is proud to add the Unreal Connectors Program to its existing suite of game development courses, and training creators who wish to become leaders in this emerging field. See the official Unreal Connectors press release.
