Real-time artist, William Faucher meets with Justin to discuss the art of teaching (on his popular YouTube channel and as a CG Spectrum mentor), and lessons learned from being mostly self-taught, including the importance of finding passions outside of the industry to build new skills. William claims that his passion for photography was the catalyst for his prolific career — helping to develop both his creative and technical skills.

William and Justin also chat about Unreal Engine, the future of the film and games industry, and William’s exciting upcoming project!

William has worked in the entertainment industry for over a decade, starting as a 3D Modeler in the games industry, then becoming a Lighter, and DoP with credits on Marvel's Black Panther and HBO's Watchmen. He's also an Author at Epic.

The Canadian-born, Norway-based Unreal Artist is currently mentoring CG Spectrum's Realtime Technical Artist and Virtual Production course.
