What we collect and why

When you join Studio we collect what we need to give you access, keep track of your sessions, and pay mentors correctly. Specifically:

Your account. Your Discord account name and ID, and your email address. This is how we know who you are, who to give access to, and how to reach you.

Your payment. A customer reference and your subscription status from Stripe, who process the payment. We do not see or hold your card details at any point.

Your sessions. Which mentor you met, when, and how long for. This is how your included sessions are counted, and how we know what a mentor is owed.

When you go to book. If you use a booking link we give you, we record that you went to book with that mentor and on what day. We do this because some mentors book through their own calendar, which we cannot see, so without it we have no way to know a session happened and ask them to confirm it.

Support time. Mentors can record that they answered your messages between sessions, which is something they are paid for. You will be asked to confirm it, and you can say it did not happen. These claims never use your sessions and never cost you anything.

What you type into /mentors. If you describe what you need help with in your own words, that text is sent to Anthropic to work out which specialities you mean. Nothing identifying you goes with it.

Who else sees it

We use other companies to run Studio, and your information passes through them:

Your records are stored in Australia. The services above are based in the United States, so your information is disclosed overseas when it passes through them. We stay responsible for it either way.

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone else unless you ask us to or the law requires it.

If you would rather we did not

You do not have to give us any of this. Without your Discord account and an email we cannot give you access, and without a payment record we cannot run the subscription, so Studio would not be something we can provide.

Seeing it, fixing it, complaining about it

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or complain about how we have handled it. Our privacy policy at www.cgspectrum.com/policies-procedures explains how, and what happens next. You can also write to us at privacyofficer@cgspectrum.com.
