Bryan Bentley

Bryan Bentley brings his award-winning experience to the role of CG Spectrum's 3D Modeling Curriculum Manager. For several years Bryan worked as a creature technical director in Singapore for Industrial Light and Magic (ILM), a division of Lucasfilm. Before that he worked at ILM’s main branch in San Francisco on Rango, which won an Oscar for Best Animated Film.

Bryan has also worked at the Jim Henson Company, and at Rhythm & Hues Studios in Los Angeles on The Golden Compass (which won the Academy Award for best visual effects), Alvin and the Chipmunks (which has the 5th highest Christmas opening in cinema history), and HULK, a revision of one of Marvel's most popular franchises. Other credits include: Transformers 3 & 4, Pacific Rim, and Warcraft.

His specialties are: 3D Modeling, Rigging, Creature FX, Python Programming, Rigid Simulation and Geometry Fracturing for Destruction.

Bryan's extensive educational background includes a Bachelor of Science from Purdue University and a Masters of Fine Arts in Animation from Savannah College of Art and Design. He's held several teaching positions and professorships at institutions around the world including Savannah College of Art and Design Hong Kong Campus, Nanyang Technological University in Singapore and the University of Technology in Rzeszow Poland.
