You already know roughly where you want to end up. Careers Week is for working out the route. Pick the stream that matches your discipline of interest and spend an hour with mentors from that field.
They'll walk you through the roles studios hire for, what a lead looks at first when a junior portfolio lands on their desk, and how our courses in that discipline build toward that work. Every session ends with live Q&A, so bring the questions you haven't been able to get a straight answer to.

Frequently asked questions
Yes, but it's tighter than it was a few years ago, and you'll often be up against people with more experience than you. Each stream covers where junior hiring is actually happening in that discipline, from smaller studios to technical and real-time roles, and what gets a junior application through to an interview.
Some of the repetitive tasks juniors used to start on, like cleanup, rough passes and first drafts, are increasingly handled by AI tools. Judgement, taking direction and knowing why something works still sit with people. The mentors in each stream talk about what's changed in their discipline and what studios hire juniors to do now.
Plenty of people move into these industries in their late 20s or 30s. What matters more than age is a portfolio aimed at a specific role, and a realistic plan for building it. Bring your situation to the live Q&A and the mentors will tell you honestly where you'd start.
A qualification gets you considered, but your portfolio is what a studio actually looks at. What most self-taught artists say they're missing is regular feedback from someone experienced. Each session explains how our courses work, from accredited bachelor degrees to non-accredited focused courses, so you can compare the options side by side.
Fewer, stronger pieces aimed at the role you're applying for, and work you can explain decision by decision. Each stream shows what a lead looks at first and the gaps that most often hold junior portfolios back.
Yes. Careers Week is a good way to compare. Each stream runs twice, so you can join more than one, and every session explains what the day-to-day work looks like in that field.
Yes. Register once and choose as many sessions as you like. Each stream runs twice, so pick whichever time suits you.
Register anyway. We'll send you the recording after your session.
It's free and online, and you don't need a portfolio or any experience to attend.
Every session ends with live Q&A. You can type your questions in the chat, so there's no need to turn on your camera or speak.
