Daniel Hourigan

Daniel Hourigan | CG Spectrum VFX Manager - Daniel is a skilled Senior Houdini FX Artist with more than 15 years of experience working in 3D animation and VFX for film. Proficient in a range of professional VFX software including Houdini and Nuke, Daniel has been working as a Lead FX Artist at Method Studios on movies such as Terminator: Dark Fate, John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum, and Aquaman. Other notable projects include Game of Thrones, The Wolverine and The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2.

Ben Fox

Ben Fox | CG Spectrum Mentor of Houdini FX - Ben Fox is the Head of Digital Production at the Morehead Planetarium at UNC Chapel Hill pushing the limits of Houdini to build immersive worlds. Before that, he was a Lead FX Technical Director at Framestore, New York. Notable past projects at Framestore include feature films SALT and The Smurfs as well as numerous high-profile commercial projects: GEICO, Benjamin Moore, Mercedes Benz, Snickers and HBO to name a few. Other notable projects include spearheading Unreal Engine VR experience builds for Game of Thrones, Interstellar, Ready Player One and the Lockheed Martin Field Trip to Mars.

Brittany Piacente

Brittany Piacente | CG Spectrum Mentor of VFX Compositing - Brittany is a Senior Compositor for film & TV, now working at Weta Digital. She has been in leadership positions at each studio she has been with, including Method Studios, Mr. X, and Deluxe in LA, Toronto and Montreal. Brittany has a BA in Animation from SCAD and her skills range from compositing to VFX to stereo work. Brittany's long list of credits includes: Loki, Vikings (Season 6), Star Wars: Episode VIII - The Last Jedi, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Black Panther, Mad Max: Fury Road, A Dog's Journey, Blade Runner 2049 and American Gods.

Sean Amlaner

Sean Amlaner | CG Spectrum Dept. Head of VFX Compositing - Sean has worked as a Compositing Supervisor, Senior Compositor, and Senior Artist Trainer for studios such as Technicolor VFX, Sony Pictures Imageworks, Walt Disney Animation Studios, Rhythm & Hues, and many others. During his career, he has had the opportunity to work on projects such as Star Trek: Picard, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker and Avengers: Infinity War.

Maxine Schnepf

Maxine Schnepf | CG Spectrum Career Development Manager - Maxine's job is to help CG Spectrum students get industry-ready through career advice, portfolio reviews and priceless insider insights from her time as a former VFX Producer at Technicolor and Resources Manager at Mr. X. She has been involved in every stage of the VFX production pipeline, and worked on major films including Blade Runner 2049, Spider-Man: Homecoming, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Doctor Strange, and three Star Wars films.

Justin Mohlman | CG Spectrum Mentor of Foundations - As the acting Creative Director for The Rookies, the industry standard for animation, visual effects and the gaming industries, Justin brings his extensive knowledge of games as well as 12+ years of experience as an instructor in higher education. Justin is also the Game Development Producer and Author at Epic Games. In his 18+ years of experience in the video gaming industry, Justin has helped bring dozens of games to life while at studios like Disney Interactive, Epic Games, Robomondo, Midway Games, and Phosphor Studios. You can find his work in legacy franchises such as Tony Hawk, Kingdom Hearts, Mortal Kombat and other AAA titles.
