Sikand Srinivas was born and raised in the California Bay Area and had a gut intuition that he'd be an animator since his childhood. After high school, he finally acted on that feeling and attended California State University, Chico for his B.S. degree in Applied Computer Graphics where his teachers trained him in all things CG from the ground up. A year after graduating college he decided to commit to specializing in animation. After a lot of self-practice and attending workshops with industry mentors, he got his big break in the industry as an Animation Intern at Pixar Animation Studios.
Since then, he has seen quite a bit -- working his way up from Intern to Senior Animator at studios like Blue Sky, Sony Imageworks, Animal Logic and Chromosphere. In 2018 he was notably nominated for an Annie Award and is currently settled back in his native Bay Area as a staff Animator at Pixar Animation Studios. His recent film credits include Netflix's Over the Moon, Pixar Animation Studios' Toy Story 4, Google Spotlight Stories' Age of Sail.
