Social Media Coordinator 

CG Spectrum is an online animation, VFX, digital painting and game design school that helps students unleash their full creative potential and pursue a career in film and games.

As a global school with students and mentors in 50+ countries, our online community has been growing rapidly, and we are hunting for a creative social media expert to support and further expand it. 

Our ideal new team member is passionate about film and games, and has a strong background in video editing, graphic design, and managing and growing social channels. 

Results-driven and team-oriented, this person develops, executes and measures social strategies, and works closely with stakeholders (mentors, students, studios, educational partners) to create amazing content in line with the CG Spectrum brand. 

While CG Spectrum’s HQ is in Melbourne, Australia, our school is global and this full time position is remote.

Responsibilities include:
  • Coordinating all social channels, including YouTube (posting several times per week, engaging with our community, raising brand awareness, reputation management)
  • Developing and implementing social media strategies and campaigns (paid and organic)
  • Creating and maintaining a social media content calendar
  • Creating high-quality graphics and video content that are both educational and engaging
  • Working with admin team, students, alumni, mentors and influencers to identify opportunities for promotion
  • Creatively repurposing our treasure trove of existing content
  • Directing social channel traffic to the website
  • Reporting on social media analytics and implementing strategic improvements.
Requirements:
  • Excellent communication, spelling and grammar skills
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Proven experience managing and growing social channels
  • Proven graphic design and video editing skills
  • Knowledge of and passion for the film and games industry
  • Understanding of SEO and organic/paid social media trends and best practices
  • Experience with live streaming an advantage
  • Experience working with influencers an advantage
  • Strong organizational and ability to handle a variety of tasks efficiently while meeting deadlines
  • Strong self-directed work ethic.
